Minnesota's tax system is an outdated and over-grown patchwork of rules.
We must improve our tax system by reducing it from a three-legged system to a single system.
A single system with limited fees and a two year adjustment factor to help with the implementation or reduction of new and old social and governmental programs. Removal of sales taxes and property taxes will reduce the stresses that the poor and elderly feel when they cannot afford something because of taxes or they worry about losing their house due to the inability to pay their increasing taxes with a fixed income. We as a state can be a model for the country in showing how a progressive system works and at the same time eliminate the regressiveness of our current system.
